‘Tales of Glasgow’ by Paul Kennedy
9th August – 7th September 2007.

Opening Night Thursday 9th August 2007 between 5.30pm – 7.30pm.

Tales of Glasgow is an exhibition that investigates the interplay between the history of Glasgow and the way this effects the people that live in it. The forgotten, then remembered, then forgotten again. Glasgow as a ghost story, the past haunting the present.
"An explosion of fractured memory. An attempt to shock the subconscious and explore the fragments of the past that shape the mind. My work is an effort to capture the moments when we both escape and confront reality simultaneously. To present the evolution of time; relics that produce nostalgia and still remain, yet which provoke a different emotional reaction and and transport the mind to a peculiar place. to both live and not live; to exist in the dreams of others and explain their history in an image... this is what I do."

Paul graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2004, is currently employed working as a community artist in Glasgow and is a member of the Glasgow Print Studio and Wasps Studios Glasgow.
